OK I love Bicycle Light Geeking out
OK, I am definitely NOT a bicycle geek when it comes to chains, frames, headsets, gears, etc. but I have to admit I love geeking out about inexpensive, fun bike lights. And there are two items I recently came across that perked my interest.
First, the bring your own low power laser light bicycle lane that was all the rage on bike blogs two weeks ago. I want one when it comes out but I fear I won't be able to afford it!
Second, BikeGlow safety lights that you can wrap around your bicycle frame to easily and cheaply ($USD 24.95) provide important (and missing on most bicycles) sideways illumination and make it obvious you are on a bicycle. I am definitely going to get one of these!
Got cool bicycle lights? Or bicycle light experiences? Let me know. Leave a comment or twitter @rtanglao!

Lighting!

I've been looking for some type of lasers to attach to my bike for a while. I'm still not sure if that would be street legal. Definitely loved the idea of a portable lane.
EL Wire on the frame is nice, but I think you get a lot more visibility and coolness lining the wheels. The only downside is you have to mount batteries inside your wheels.

that's fantastic Aaron!
Seriously too geeky for me! Can I pay you to do that to my by bike? Let me know by email: roland AT rolandtanglao.com !
Lumotec IQ
I'm definitely excited about my new dynamo light, the Lumotec IQ Fly.
It's LED, it's 40 lux (whatever that is), it turns itself automatically on and off. And it stays lit at intersections.
Don't like the handlebar lights much because they often bounce around a bit, and the high angle doesn't show shadows too well.
nice
how do you like it? where are you located? i have a shimano hub dynamo driven light that turns off when you stop (unlike my rear red hub dynamo light)
