How to put a bike on a bus rack - Old Lady Style.

Worth reading for the insight it gives into a problem faced by those who are older or not as strong as the average bike rider. But as boomers age these issues will come much more to the fore.

Cyclists being by and large fairly fit people often forget or are unaware how different the world is for those with limited abilities.

There is a whole area, commonly referred to as 'all abilities cycling', that gets little coverage in mainstream cycling media or on cycling forums.

That needs to change, but rarely gets pushed by able-bodied cyclists and the usual cycling organisations. But as cyclists get older, and more older people become attracted to cycling by virtue both of necessity and the improving infrastructure that is gradually appearing in many cities that will really have to change.

Better to embrace and be ahead of that demand than to be dragged into dealing with it.
