Current Exhibitions

The galleries are closed until January 16 for installation of our winter exhibitions.

In the main galleries we are installing Hysteria and the Body, Jean-Pierre Gauthier: Machines at Play, and the 2008 RBC Canadian Painting Competition. We are installing Linked by Linda Knight and Don Hefner in our artistsbyartists space. Please join us on Friday, January 16 at 7pm for a talk/tour of Machines at Play to be given by artist Jean-Pierre Gauthier, and stay for the opening reception at 8pm.

During the exhibition change the Gallery Shop and Civic Conservatory are both open from 9am–9pm daily. Museo Coffee is open 9am–6pm every day. Business offices are open 8:30am–4:30pm weekdays. SomethingOnSundays runs as usual on Sundays 2–4pm.

Enjoy seasonal music by a 9-piece local a cappella group.

Christmas music is the Madrigrrrls' specialty.

December 28: George and the Jester

Travel back in time with the Jester and his pal George, a fun-loving and mischievous purple monkey. Explore castle life in the Middle Ages as you experiance songs played on a 16th century lute and a Celtic Clarsach, and ancient games of skill. Discover weapons used for hunting and war. Learn the secret of making rope with Viking whipcord bobbins while you marvel, giggle, and have fun with this silly duo!

Educational and fun for all ages.

Children’s Art Adventures are FREE drop-in art activities for kids in our studio held every Sunday 2-4pm. All activities are designed to give kids an opportunity to make art while gaining an understanding of current exhibitions. SPECIAL EVENTS are offered once per month. No pre-registration is required.
